GenCen & COVID-19

In light of recent MSU communications, the GenCen staff is working remotely (as possible). We are still operating under our normal business hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. If you need to contact us, please email our Office Manager, Emily Khan, at gencen(at) and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

Remote Advising

GenCen's academic advisor and internship coordinator is still available to assist both undergraduate and graduate students with a GenCen-coordinated academic program as well as with finding gender or sexuality related internships/fellowshipsjobs, and scholarships.

Appointments will be held via Zoom video or phone chat for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. Open office hours are held on Tuesdays from 12:00pm-8:00pm, but we still suggest you schedule an appointment when possible.

Undergraduates: please visit our advising page for details on how to schedule an appointment.

Graduate students: please email Patrick directly to schedule an appointment.

All GenCen events for the remainder of Spring 2020 have been cancelled or postponed until Fall 2020. Please email gencen(at) with any questions.

Below is a compiled, ongoing list of COVID-19 resources provided by our staff, affiliates, and students. Resources are listed in the order they are received. If you have any resources to add, please email us.
