Flourish Workshop:
The Center for Gender in Global Context and Womxn of Color Initiatives are partnering to host the Flourish workshop, supporting the scholarly and creative work of early career feminists at MSU. The aim of Flourish is to foster the development of supportive mentor and peer networks, creating a nurturing environment in which feminist scholars may thrive.
This year's theme is Feminist Institutional Justice
The Flourish workshop is designed for early career pre-tenure faculty, fixed-term scholars, and graduate students to receive critical feedback from senior scholars outside of MSU on a work in progress scholarly piece. The work in progress could be a manuscript for a journal article or a book chapter, a short story or a poem, or a creative piece that can be presented digitally. Four to five works in progress will be selected, which will be reviewed by senior scholars outside of MSU. In the spring semester, we will hold a public workshop over Zoom with the senior scholars discussing the work in progress and the participants responding to the senior scholars and questions from the other attendees.
