Every year, athletes from all over Japan come together to compete at the Japan Games and Paragames. The 79th competition will be held in Shiga, marking the first time that the prefecture will host the competition since 1981 (the 36th competition). The Japan Games will be happening from September 28th to October 8th, but some events will be starting as early as September 6th. During the competition, events will be happening all across the prefecture.
