GenCen is made up of 300+ affiliates from the full spectrum of colleges and professional programs at MSU. We also serve 100+ graduate students and 300+ undergraduate students. Our purpose is to serves as MSU's hub for gender and sexuality research, teaching, and engagement with a global perspective. We connect scholars, students, and community stakeholders with feminist knowledge to advance social change.
We allow all MSU faculty and staff to apply for affiliation, but have two types of affiliation.

GenCen's Advisory Board reviews applications once a year - usually in October or November - after we have received our applications from MSU's new faculty and staff following fall orientation. If you submit an application after this period, we usually will not review it until the next fall. Still, please feel free to apply using this form throughout the year and we will save your application for the next time our Advisory Board reviews new applicants.
