GenCen invites submissions for an award for Undergraduate Student Feminist Activism. First prize is a $200 award! Application materials must consist of a resume, three page description of feminist work, and two letters of recommendation.

GenCen will be hiring advanced PhD graduate students as instructors for Summer 2017 to teach core courses. These courses can be taught either online or in a conventional classroom setting, with preference given to online courses. Grad students applying to teach must be engaged in some aspect of women's and gender studies in their coursework/research. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, January 20.

MSU Sexual Assault Program's Annual Self-Care Drive is now accepting donations through January 31st, and MSU's Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen) office in Room 206 International Center (during normal business hours M-F 8am-5pm) is a donation drop-off location!

The MSU Academic Women's Forum creates a venue for discussing ways to support academic women working and doing research at MSU. The forum is designed to allow women an opportunity to connect, build community and explore issues relevant to navigating professional life at MSU.

Join us for a Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil from 6:30-8:00pm on October 21 at the Broad Art Museum (547 E Circle Dr., East Lansing) in remembrance and honor of victims and survivors of domestic violence. This special event is coordinated by EVE (End Violent Encounters), CARE (Capital Area Response Effort), MSU Safe Place, The Lansing Police Department, SIREN/Eaton Shelter, and The Women's Center of Greater Lansing.
