Demyra Hover 2013.pngGenCen is dedicated to promoting a global perspective on sex, gender, and sexuality that values critical thinking, diversity, inclusiveness, and equality. We support our faculty, students, and staff to achieve excellence in scholarship, to engage in learning opportunities that build global competence, and that mobilize diversity to make the world a more just place.

As we look to the future, we are poised to do so much more. With additional funding, your support can accelerate our effectiveness on a global front, and help GenCen and the university play an important role in advancing gender and sexualities scholarship in Michigan and around the world.

We have three programs to which you may give a gift:

The Elizabeth A. Abbott, Ruth Abbott Haskin, and Susan M. Haskin Endowment

This fund honors three generations of Abbot & Haskin womenElizabeth A. Abbott, Ruth Abbott Haskin, and Susan M. Haskinwomen whose family connections to Michigan State University are traceable to the first few decades of the Institution's founding. This fund provides scholarship funds for undergraduate students enrolled in a Women's and Gender Studies program every other year. In alternating years, the endowment funds a visiting lecturer/scholar.
