GenCen is pleased to announce this year's editorial board for the GPID Working Papers series. This year's board consists of ten highly acclaimed scholars in the fields of gender studies, masculinity studies, and development. The members are: Dr. Valentine Moghadam, Dr. Cathy Rakowski, Dr. Krista Van Vleet, Dr. Ethel Brooks, Dr. B. Jane Parpart, Dr. Nata Duvvury, Dr. Robin Haarr, Dr. Dorothy Hodgson, Dr. Adam Jones, and Dr. Barbara Sutton.

GenCen is partnering with WKAR and the Women's Resource Center for the first in a series of film screenings this fall.

On September 27 at 7:00pm, there will be a screening of “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.” Following the screening, there will be a moderated community discussion with GenCen's Assistant Director Amy Jamison as one of the panelists.

GPID Working Papers are article-length manuscripts (9,000-word maximum) by scholars from a broad range of disciplines that contribute new understandings of women's and men's roles and gender relations amidst economic, social, and political change.

The GPID Resource Bulletin recently received review copies of a number of titles, and is looking for interested parties to review these titles for the Bulletin. Chosen reviewers will be able to keep a copy of the title they review, and their review will be published with authorial credit in an edition of the Bulletin, published three times a year.

In compliance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and the University's efforts to provide a supportive environment for new mothers returning to work, school or campus, a new website has been created that lists all campus rooms that have been made available for the use of nursing mothers.
