  1. Therapist Position Summary: The Michigan State University Sexual Assault Program social worker position (Sexual Assault Therapist) will provide direct service and outreach to a diverse student population. MSUCC has a long-standing multicultural tradition dating back to 1969, and this position is one aspect of the center’s ongoing commitment to providing outreach and clinical services to traditionally under-served populations. The Social Worker Position (Sexual Assault Therapist) will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to victims of sexual assault and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, will facilitate individual counseling and group services and provide advocacy and crisis intervention services.

Advocate Position Summary: This position will serve as a Sexual Assault Program Advocate; provides short-term crisis intervention and advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault; serves as a consultant to campus partners and community members working with sexual assault victims; provides direct service to clients by providing in-person crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, advocacy services and follow-up contact; provides Backup Coverage to the Crisis Line and Medical Advocacy Services two days per week.

Volunteer Coordinator Position Summary:  Recruits, trains, supervises and retains Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention volunteers; manages 24-hour crisis services; coordinates outreach requests; provides short-term crisis intervention and advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault; provides direct service to clients by providing in-person crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, advocacy services and follow-up contact. Provides Backup Coverage to the Crisis Line and Medical Advocacy Services two days per week.
